Fargo script analysis exercise

Watch the sequence once, noting on the script how the scene descriptions are portrayed in the sequence. Answer in a post the following questions
1. Are they the same as the script? Yes the scene descriptions are the same.
2. any changes? yes the start of the scrit was not included in the film.
3. does the script portray what you expect to see in the film? Yes the scrpt is alost word for word and the stage directions are all used.

Now view the sequence again. This time looking at the dialogue. answer the following questions based on the script for each character.

1.What is their name? Jerry
2.What type of words describe this person? could be in debt, shameless very naive
3.Can you tell from this sequence the role of this character? Yes, He wants his wife kidnapped,
i.e are they a protagonist/Antagonist? He is a key charecter but is neaither Protagonist or Antagonist.
4.How do you know this? you know this because you cant tell what hes in the story for untill they get talking.

1.What is their name? Carl
2.What type of words describe this person? hes the brains of the pair he comes across very cocky
3.Can you tell from this sequence the role of this character? hes role will be to kidnap jerrys wife for money and the car.
i.e are they a protagonist/Antagonist?
4.How do you know this? you know this because they seem to have per orgonised whats happening but have got times mixed.

1.What is their name? Grimsrud
2.What type of words describe this person? he would be described as the muscle of the pair very quite and intimidating.
3.Can you tell from this sequence the role of this character? he is most likly to be a antagonist along with carl because they will end up orgonising the kidnap of jerrys wife.
i.e are they a protagonist/Antagonist?
4.How do you know this? same reason as carl.
